Who we are
David Howard B.A. Hons, MSc Transport: David has 20 years experience as a transport professional in the rail sector and a further 4 years working more generally in the transport sector.
- In 2001 he established Line by Line, working mainly with Train Operating Companies and their owning groups, and the Association of Train Operating Companies (ATOC). He is also an Associate Consultant with other consultancies.
- In 1997, David joined Transport Strategies as Principal Consultant, mainly advising rail companies on revenue and demand issues.
- He has worked as Business Analysis Manager for South Eastern, with responsibility for all demand and revenue forecasts and pricing strategy; and as a Business Analyst for British Rail Network South East.
- He was an economist for the Ministry of Transport in New Zealand.
Kim Howard BSc. Hons: Kim has had extensive administrative, research and press & p.r. experience in the voluntary and public sectors.
- Since 2003, she has brought her wide-ranging skills to Line by Line Ltd.
- Before joining Line by Line, she was Trust Board Business Manager for Southampton University Hospitals Trust with responsibility for corporate governance and the integrity of board operations.
- She was Assistant Manager at Transnet, where she also carried out research, including a major analysis of the (then proposed) Channel Tunnel and associated Rail Link.
Professional memberships: Line by Line Ltd. is a member of the Independent Rail Consultants Group (www.ircg.co.uk) and an associate member of the ATOC Passenger Demand Forecasting Council (www.atoc.org).
